For this new version of Slow, we were graced by the inspirational presence of my friend Chris Mosher on B3 and piano. I’m also quite proud of the drum loop I made with John Ferraro in the studio… with a little vinylized stop effect at the end of each bar, it’s just ‘wrong’ enough to add vibe and grease without being distracting. I wanted to make the groove hypnotic, and when we added John playing lightly over the top, it all came together.
